A leading global hygiene and health company, whose brands include TENA, Tork, Cushelle, and Bodyform, has published its report for Q4 and full-year 2024.
Essity, which employs around 1,000 people across six manufacturing sites in the UK, reported a record profit of SEK 20.3bn (£1.49bn), despite its net sales being down 1.1% in 2024.
Reflecting on the year’s results, Essity CEO and President, Magnus Groth, said the company was “in better shape than ever”. Groth also announced that he will be leaving Essity in 2025 after 14 years with the company, adding that he will remain at the helm until a successor is in place.

Commenting on Essity’s results, Lee Doherty, VP Consumer Goods UKI & MEA, said: “The final quarter of 2024 closed out another strong year for Essity in the UK and ROI. We made several senior appointments that will strengthen our ability to deliver our strategy across all business units, and having successfully implemented a significant IT system upgrade in September 2024, we ended the year in great shape.
“It was pleasing to see the first payoffs of the strategic choices made within our Professional Hygiene business unit with our strategic product portfolio in growth, and strong growth in our intimate hygiene categories within Consumer Goods particularly with the Bodyform brand reaching a record level of market share.
“Finally, I was delighted to see Essity win the Diversity and Inclusion award at the 2024 BOSS awards which adds to our recognition as a Diversity Leader by the Financial Times for the fourth year running.”
