The new starters take the century old family company’s workforce to 87 and cover a variety of fields from sales and administration, to production and packaging design.
They will help deliver Nicklin’s broader strategy which will see the business offer new specialisms in a wider range of packaging products and services, and class-leading pack design and validation.
In a separate development, following a substantial investment in corrugated production, the company has also opened additional premises on its existing Birmingham site to cater for growing demand for bespoke wooden transit packaging from clients across a broad range of sectors.
Managing director, David Nicklin commented: “These figures have more than surpassed our expectations and are testament to the hard work and dedication of the team.
“We’ve delivered over 100% growth since 2010 and by adding new personnel and production capacity now, are laying even stronger foundations for the future in line with our continued strategy of organic growth.
He added: “With the packaging sector in the midst of game-changing consolidation, we continue to remain an independent business offering a credible alternative for transit packaging users from a broad range of sectors.”
